Maggie Island

Hi again folks.

We just returned from Maggie Island, after a weekend of diving and beautiful impressions.

We started with a Friday evening at home and got up early on Saturday morning (6 am).
We took the ferry from Towsnville to Magnetic Island, then a taxi from there to the point where some of us would finish their diving certificate (Perla, Charlee and Hillary), while Ro, Florian and Ross hired missing diving equipment to dive this weekend's delights.

Me and Stehepen however, were either handicap for the weekend or without diving certificate.

Therefore I began to snorkel and followed the others at the surface during the first dive.
After that, I took some time off from the water (due to blisters (gnagesår) and sunburn etc.).

Me and Stehpen hung around on the beach etc. while the others had fun in the water with their second dive.
That evening we had a quiet evening at the backpacker facilities (which was a nice place, accept poor service) among other things we did that night was; a couple of hours in the jacuzzi under the stars, played a game of pool with some beers, a short walk under the stars at the beach where we sat for a while and just talked a lot, then it was back to bed and try to get some sleep and energy for the next day.

Witch was of course impossible with social retarded Norwegians staying in the same room with the Air-con blowing like they wanted home sweet home back in our room.

Now I begin to be a bit annoyed with Norwegians, hence they are all over the place all the time. especially social retarded Norwegians (no offense of course) (sorry mum, but it’s true).

Next day:

We began by checking out of the hostel 09.30 am.
After that it was pretty much the same round as the day before, except that Ross and Stephen went back the night before.

This time it were only Florian and Jessie who were going to dive (except Perla, Charlee and Hillary, they still had an instructor with them). Me and Ro had snorkeling gear and we followed at the surface and trained our free diving skills.

But free diving is not to be underestimated because me and Ro did agree that you are way more liberated without the tank ( “But still” I hear from the German in the corner, yes I know it rocks to be under water for a long time Florian).

We had a lot of fun with things like swimming with sea-turtles etc.
After the second dive in the afternoon we went back to the ferry.

Now we’re chilling back home and eating a lot of crap for dinner and reflect on a great weekend with as mention a lot of good impressions.

Until next time, Good luck on your journey to the meaning of life.

Love Aussie boys.
